Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Typesfast macOS application (the "App") or creating an account. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Who We Are
Typesfast is operated by Onit Inc. ("Typesfast," "we," "us," or "our"), a company based in California. Questions about these Terms can be directed to:
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Typesfast. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

You must create an account to use Typesfast. You are responsible for:

Keeping your password secure and confidential
All activity that occurs under your account

4. The Service
What Typesfast Does
Typesfast monitors text fields on your Mac and automatically corrects typos when you pause while typing. To do this, the App takes a local screenshot of the active text field, extracts the text, and immediately deletes the screenshot. The extracted text is then corrected and pasted back into the field.
Correction Modes
Typesfast offers two correction modes:
Remote mode — Text is sent to Cerebras, our third-party AI provider, for processing. Remote mode is available on a freemium basis (see Section 5).
Local mode — Text is processed entirely on your device using a model you provide. Local mode is free and no text leaves your Mac.
What the App Does Not Do
Typesfast does not activate in password fields, financial forms, or other fields the operating system or application marks as sensitive. In those fields, no text is captured or transmitted.
5. Pricing and Payment
Local Mode
Local mode — where you supply and run your own local language model — is free to use with no usage limits.
Remote Mode
Remote mode uses Typesfast's Cerebras integration and requires a paid monthly subscription. Pricing is listed on our website and within the App.
Free Trial
New accounts get a one-week free trial of remote mode. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial period ends, your payment method will be automatically charged the monthly subscription price at the end of the 7-day trial. We will send you a reminder email before the trial expires so you have the opportunity to cancel if you don't wish to continue.
Billing
We use Stripe to process payments. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
All charges are in US dollars and are non-refundable (see "No Refunds" below). You are responsible for any taxes applicable to your purchase.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App or your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will retain access to remote mode until that date and will not be charged again afterward.
No Refunds
All payments are final and non-refundable. If you cancel mid-period, you will not receive a refund or credit for the unused portion of your subscription. This does not affect any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
Changes to Pricing
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. We will give you at least 30 days' advance notice of any price change affecting your active subscription, by email or in-app notice. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, you will be charged at the new rate on your next billing date.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Typesfast to:
Violate any applicable law or regulation
Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
Transmit content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or fraudulent
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App
Circumvent any usage limits, access controls, or account restrictions
Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the App without our written consent
Use the App in a way that could damage, overload, or impair our systems or those of our providers
We reserve the right to determine in our sole discretion whether a use violates these Terms.
7. Account Suspension and Termination
By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you when feasible.
If your account is terminated for a material breach, you will not be entitled to a refund for any unused portion of a paid subscription.
By You
You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting us at contact@typesfast.ai. Deleting your account stops future charges (if on a paid plan) and removes your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including Sections 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12) will survive termination.
8. Intellectual Property
Typesfast and all related software, branding, and content are owned by Onit Inc. and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on your Mac solely for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of any text you type. We do not claim any rights over your content.
9. Third-Party Services
Typesfast integrates with third-party services, including:
Cerebras — our remote AI processing provider (used in remote mode)
PostHog — our analytics provider
Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
The App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available at all times
Corrections produced by the App will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your purposes
The App will be compatible with all macOS versions, applications, or text fields
You are solely responsible for reviewing any text corrected by Typesfast before sending, submitting, or publishing it. Autocorrection is not infallible and may introduce unintended changes.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
The App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available at all times
Corrections produced by the App will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for your purposes
The App will be compatible with all macOS versions, applications, or text fields
You are solely responsible for reviewing any text corrected by Typesfast before sending, submitting, or publishing it. Autocorrection is not infallible and may introduce unintended changes.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TYPESFAST AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM INCORRECT TEXT CORRECTIONS, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Typesfast and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in California under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
15. General
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Typesfast regarding the App.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights freely.
